纸上谈兵

战国时期，赵国名将赵奢的儿子赵括，从小就熟读兵书。他一谈起用兵之道来，连赵奢都说不过他。日子久了，赵括便自以为天下没有人能比得上自己。但赵奢深知儿子并没有带兵打仗的真本事，因此他临终前嘱咐赵括，千万不要担任将军的职务，否则必定会给赵国带来失败。

   公元前262年，秦国进犯赵国。赵孝成王任命廉颇为大将，率军抵抗。久经沙场的廉颇领军20万前去抗敌，两军在长平展开了大战。廉颇见秦军强大，不能硬拼，便决定在长平筑垒固守，等到秦军粮草供给不足的时候再出兵作战。于是廉颇下令闭门不出，进行严密防守，不管秦军如何挑衅，都不应战。就这样，廉颇在长平坚守达三年之久，秦军没能得逞。

   秦国见一时无法取胜，就派人到赵国都城邯郸去散布流言，说廉颇惧怕秦兵，秦国特别怕赵王任命赵括为将。赵王果然中计，下令由赵括取代廉颇为大将。

赵括根本没有实际作战经验，一上任便改变了廉颇的作战方案，向秦军发起全面攻击。秦军假装战败，一直将赵军引到秦军大营前。赵括知道中计，可为时已晚。赵军成了瓮中之鳖。几十万赵军内无粮草，外无援军，陷入了绝境。

   46天后，赵括决心孤注一掷地向外突围，还没冲到秦军的阵地前，就被乱箭射死了。主帅一死，赵军全线崩溃，40万大军全被秦军活埋。从此以后，赵国一蹶不振。

   做人如果没有理想，就如同天空中没有太阳。如果有了理想却没有行动，理想永远只是理想。在“想要”和“得到”之间还有两个字，那就是“做到”。行动才是实现梦想的关键。赵括空有理论，却忽视战场上的实际情况，他将自己所想的当成一种真知灼见，最终只能以失败而告终。“做”与“想”是不一样的，它需要耗费脑力和体力，需要面对过程中的许多困难。实践是检验真理的唯一标准，只有将我们心中的所想变为现实，才能验证它是否可行。

fight only on paper—be an armchair strategist

During the Warring States period, Zhao Kuo, the son of Zhao She, was familiar with military books since childhood. When he talked of the use of soldiers, even Zhao She could not talk as good as him. After a long time, Zhao Kuo thought that no one in the world could surpass himself. However, Zhao She knew that his son did not have the true ability to lead a team. Therefore, before his death, Zhao She said to Zhao Kuo  that Zhao Kuo must not serve as a general, otherwise Zhao Kuo would surely bring defeat to the State of Zhao.

In 262 BC, the State of Qin attacked the State of Zhao. Zhaoxiaochengwang appointed LianPo as a general and led the army to resist. After a long period of time, Lian Po led 200,000 troops to fight against the enemy. The two armies launched a war in Changping. Lian Po saw that the Qin army was strong and could not fight hard. He decided to stick to the base in Changping and wait until the Qin army's food and grass supply was insufficient before sending troops to fight. Lian Po ordered everyone  should stay at thier home cannot go outside and conducted strict defense. No matter how provocative Qin Army was, Lian Po was not fight with Qin. In this way, Lian Po stayed in Changping for three years and Qin Army had no idea.

The State of Qin was unable to win for a time. He sent people to the capital of the State of Zhao --Handan to spread rumors and said that Lian Po was quite afraid of Qin Army, Qin Guo was particularly afraid of the king of the State of Zhao 's appointment of Zhao Kuo as the general. the king of the State of Zhao really planned and ordered Zhao Kuo to replace Lian Po as a general.

Zhao Kuo did not have actual combat experience. As soon as he took office, he changed Lian Po’s  combat plan and launched a full-scale attack on the Qin army. Qin army pretended to be defeated and had led Zhao army to the camp of  Qin Army . Zhao Kuo knew that it was a trick but too late.  Hundreds of thousands of Zhao army had no food in the army, and there was no reinforcements outside.

46 days later, Zhao Kuo was determined to break out in a desperate attempt. He had not yet rushed to the position of the Qin army and was shot dead by random arrows. When the general died, Zhao army collapsed across the board and 400,000 troops were buried alive by Qin army. Since then, the State of Zhao has been sluggish.

A man without an ideal is like there is no sun in the sky. If you have an ideal but no action, an ideal is always an ideal. There are two words between "want(xiangyao)" and "get(dedao)", and that is "do it.(zuodao)" Action is the key to realizing the dream. Zhao Kuo only has theory, but ignores the actual situation on the battlefield. He regards what he thinks as a kind of insight and can only end in failure. "Doing" is not the same as "thinking". It takes mental and physical energy and faces many difficulties in the process. Practice is the only criterion for testing truth. Only by translating what we think into reality can we verify its feasibility.

전국시기 조나라의 명장 조사의 아들 조괄은 어려서부터 병서에 능통했다.그가 군대 쓰는 방법을 얘기하기 시작하면 조사도 그를 말로 당할 수 없다.시간이 오래되자 조괄은 자기를 비길만한 사람이 없다고 생각하였다.그러나 조사는 아들이 군사를 이끌고 싸우는 진정한 재능가 없다는것을 잘 알고있었기에 림종전에 조괄에게 장군직을 절대 맡지 말고 그렇지 않은면 필연 조나라에 실패를 가져다줄것이다는 말을 당부하였다.

기원전 262년에 친나라는 조나라를 공격하였다.조효성왕은 염파를 대장으로 임명하고 군사를 이끌고 저항하게 했다.오래동안 모래판을 거쳐온 염파는 20만명의 군사를 거느리고 장평에서 대전을 벌렸다.염파는 친나라 군대가 강대해진것을 보고 무리하게 싸워서는 안된다는것이였다. 그는 장평에 보루를 쌓고 친나라 군대의 량식공급이 부족할 때 출병하기로 결정하였다.이에 염파는 두문불출하고 엄밀히 방어하라고 명령했으며 친나라 군대가 아무리 도발해도 응전하지 않았다.그리하여 염파는 장평에서 3년동안이나 고수하였지만 친나라 군대는 성공하지 못하였다.

당장에서 승리하지 못하자 친나라는 사람을 파견하여 조나라 수도인 한단에 유언비어을 퍼뜨려 염파가 친나라 군사를 두려워하고 친나라는 특히 조왕은 조괄을 장군으로 임명할가봐 두려웠다고 하였다.조왕은 과연 계략에 걸려들어 염파를 대신해 조괄을 대장으로 임명하였다.

실제 작전 경험이 없던 조괄은 취임하자마자 염파의 작전을 바꿔 친나라 군대를 향해전면적인 진공을 개시했다.친나라 군대는 패전한 척하면서 줄곧 조군을 친나라 대영앞까지 유인하였다.조괄은 계략에 걸려든 것을 알고 있었지만 이미 늦었다.조군은 독 안에든 쥐가 됐다.수 십만 조나라 군대내에는 군량과 마초가 없고 밖에는 지원군이 없어 궁지에 빠졌다.

46일후, 조괄은 혼신의 힘을 다하여 포위를 뚫고나갔는데 친나라 군대의 진지앞에 돌진하기도전에 화살에 맞아 죽었다.그가 죽자 조나라 군대는 모든 전선이 붕괴되였고 40만 대군은 친나라 군대에 의해 생매장되였다.이때부터 조나라는 다시 일어서지 못하였다.

사람이 리상이 없다면 그것은 마치 하늘에 태양이 없는것과 같다.만약 리상이 있고 행동이 없다면 리상은 영원히 리상일뿐이다.'원함'과'얻음'사이에 또 다른 두 글자가 있다. 바로'실행'이다.행동이야말로 꿈을 실현하는 관건이다.리론이 있는 조괄공은 전장의 실제 상황을 무시하고 자기가 생각한것을 명철한 견해로 여겨 결국 실패하고말았다."하다"와"생각"은 다르다. 그것은 정신력과 체력을 소모하고 과정 중의 많은 어려움을 직면해야 한다.실천은 진리를 검증하는 유일한 표준이다. 오직 우리 마음속의 생각을 현실로 전화시켜야만 그것이 가능한지 아닌지를 검증할 수 있다.
