Nearly 2,000 residents hiked in Taihu New City

Sponsored by the Taihu New City Construction Headquarters Office and the Wuxi Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, vigorously supported by China Overseas Estate Group Co., Ltd. and with active participation of Shanghai Spring International Travel Service Co., Ltd. and other units, the China Overseas Estate Cup Taihu New City Public Benefit Hiking Activity was officially launched on the morning of April 6. Nearly 2,000 participants wearing unified clothes and different number plates started from Wuxi Taihu International Expo Center, through the Taihu New City's Shangxianhe Wetland, Gonghuwan Wetland and other scenic spots, and retraced to the starting point near the Taihu Levee.

The path of the public benefit hiking activity had contained several wetlands in the Taihu New City, and hikers could enjoy beautiful spring scenery in the ecological wetlands in the new city, which was applauded by a lot of participants. The ecological environment and supporting facilities of the Taihu New City have developed rapidly in recent years, especially the 2 wetlands among the hiking path. Relying on the waterside pavilions and charming flowers, the 2 wetlands have become new good destinations for Wuxi residents to have an outing in spring.

Relevant staff members of the Taihu New City Construction Headquarters Office showed that the path design of the hiking activity had let citizens appreciate and experience graceful natural scenery and increasingly perfect supporting facilities of the core area of the Taihu New City to the greatest extent; and that it's hoped that citizens can continue to put forward more valuable opinions and suggestions on the construction of the new city especially on the construction of ecological engineering.
