4th Meeting of 15th Wuxi Municipal People's Congress

The 4th Meeting of the 15th Wuxi Municipal People's Congress was grandly held on the afternoon of January 20. During the meeting, deputies to the people's congress would earnestly perform duties, and jointly paint the blueprint of Wuxi's economic and social development in the new year.

In the warm applause of the whole participants, Wang Quan, Mayor of Wuxi, on behalf of the Wuxi Municipal People's Government, delivered a working report to the meeting. The report was divided into 2 parts: review of work in 2014 and task in 2015. Wang Quan stated that in 2014, the comprehensively deepened reform achieved outstanding results; economic operation quality was steadily elevated; construction of major projects was practically propelled; urban and rural ecological environment was continuously improved; practical projects for the masses were completely finished; all kinds of social undertakings developed in an all-round way; and government's self-construction was)reinforced, further improving service development ability.

He also expressed that in the new year, we should tightly unite around the Party Central Committee with Xi Jinping as the General Secretary, under the correct guidance of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and the Wuxi Municipal Party Committee, blaze new trails in a pioneering spirit, deal with concrete issues, bravely advance, overall finish the economic and social development goals and tasks in 2015, put change of mode, adjustment of structure and construction of ecological civilization on more important positions, well and practically do work about new-type urbanization and guarantee of the people's livelihood, let comprehensive deepening of reform and comprehensive propulsion of legal construction through the whole process of government work, and strive to open a new situation about Four-type Wuxi and taking the lead in achieving basic modernization.
