China Wu Culture Expo Park, in Wuxi New District, is expected to transition into Hongshan National Leisure Park within five years, according to its recently published development plan. Tourist projects such as a rose park and a marine park will appear in the park's five scenic areas, including the Lianghong National Wetland Park. The Hongshan Rose Park, covering 1,587 hectares, is scheduled to start construction in the next quarter and will be free to the public at the end of 2016. In addition to appreciating the 80- hectares of roses and 53- hectares of other flowers, visitors will be able to buy rose oil and even hold wedding ceremonies. The Changqiao Marine Theme Park, with an area of 20 hectares, is expected to start construction in the first half of 2016 and open to the public in 2018. It will include seven exhibitions, a recreation area, an underwater restaurant and arena for dolphin performances.

Wu Culture Expo Park to become national leisure park

Wu Culture Expo Park and the Suzhou government have reconstructed the Yuhe Bridge, connecting Hongshan town, Wuxi and Xiangcheng district. It will open to traffic next June. The China Wu Culture Expo Park preserves the natural environment of the Wu civilization, which is 3,200 years old. Rich Wu Yue culture heritage and primitive wetland farming empower this place with high protection value and development prospects.
