In 2011, Wuxi attracted approximately 24,000college gradustes, with a year-on-year growth of 4.36%, and the employment rate of graduates who were borned in Wuxi reached 90.2%, with a year-on-year growth of 0.8%. 33,916 people were graduated from colleges and universities in Wuxi in 2011, of which there are 3,214 graduates borned in Wuxi and 30,702 graduates borned in other cities, accounting for 90.52% of the total, and the employment rate of graduates in Wuxi reached 94.13%. In addition, Wuxi launched a project of “Green Card of skill”, and about 1500 undergraduates took part in the trainning of “Green Card of skill” in 2011, involving three emerging industries and eight majors. About 1000 college students got the certification of “Green Card of skill” issued by human resource of Wuxi and social Security Bureau, and 90% of students got a job in the emerging industrial enterprises after graduation.
