Wuxi GDP
Wuxi is an economic town in eastern China, which listed in 15 economic centers and 10 key tourism cities in China. It’s also an international advanced manufacturing base, a famous idustrial city, a capital city of privite enterprises, an excellent tourism city in China, as well as one of Forbes Best Commercial Cities in China.
Its GDP has reached RMB 6880.15 billion in 2011, were up by 11.6% year-on-year, which ranked in second in the province and ninth in China. Remarkably, its per-capita GDP jumped to TOP 1 in 2011. Per Capita GDP in the city exceeded RMB 100,000 in 2011 with achieving RMB 107,400, as got the first place in Jiangsu province, even far better than the provincial and national average levels. According to current exchange rate regime, GDP in the city achieved 17,000 dollars in 2011. In the light of a ranking of 2010 Worldwide Per Capita GDP published April 2011 by IMF (International Monetary Fund), Per Capita GDP in Wuxi about amounted to the world’s fourth-large city which is the equivalent to Saudi Arabia. The worldwide average level is 9,227 dollars, which is 1.8 times less than Wuxi’s.
